Classes visit the library every two weeks and check out up to 4 books.

Students may check-out books, play games, read magazines, and read leisurely.
Students may use the computers to conduct research during school with a pass from their teacher.

Books are due two weeks after check out and may be renewed two times.
Late fines are 10 cent per day per book.  Late fines start accruing two
days after the due date of the book.

Mission: The mission of the school library program and information literacy specialist is to ensure that students, teachers, administrators, and staff are effective, creative, and ehtical users of ideas and information.
This mission is accomplished by:
   Providing intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats;
   Providing instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas;
   Collaborating with other educators to plan, design, teach, and evaluate information literacy learning experiences to meet the needs of all students;
   Demonstrating effective leadership strategies in the administration of the program, and in making connections to the broader learning community;
   Providing patrons with exemplary facility, collection, and program based on the standards for school libraries issued by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission

Electronically research any topic with magazines, newspapers, reference books, media transcripts and more. Elementary students, select Kids Search. High school students should click on Student Research Center. Full text articles can be printed or emailed.
